Daniel’s minimalist travel journey began after a disastrous trip with an overstuffed checked bag that was lost in transit, leaving him stranded without belongings for the first several days of an important trip. He vowed never to be dependent on checked luggage again, and spent the following years refining a one-bag travel system through extensive trial and error across dramatically different climates and trip types.
